Kentucky Lake Resort & Rv Park Gilbertsville, Gilbertsville

My stay was quite disappointing overall. The cabin had numerous issues, such as hot water that lasted only five minutes, torn sheets, and a generally rundown appearance. Despite this, the area had some beautiful scenery and the staff were cooperative. It's a shame, as I really wanted to enjoy my time there, especially considering the high price during the eclipse event.

The hotel is located near Kentucky Dam State Park, which offers great access to outdoor activities like camping and exploring Land Between the Lakes. The cabins we stayed in were spacious and mostly clean, but some facilities showed signs of wear and tear. While the staff and fellow guests were friendly, our overall experience was dampened by maintenance issues and a somewhat disappointing view.

The hot water was short-lived, and the view was not pleasant at all. It’s unfortunate because the owners seemed to be trying, but the place really needs some serious renovations. Given the high rates during the eclipse, it felt like we didn’t get our money's worth.
